Children's Ministry
Leah Jones, Children's Minister
Children's Ministry Purpose Statement:
The Children's Ministry at CCBC exists to provide an atmosphere in which children can make responsible decisions for Christ. We strive to lay a solid foundation on which children can grow in knowledge and understanding, through applicable Bible training and engaging activities.
Programs for Elementary Children:
Children's Church
Under the direction of Leah Jones, Children's Church gives children an alternative to the "grown-up" worship service. Children's church is a place where small childen can understand and participate in a more kid-friendly environment.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
During the summer, kids can be a part of a wonderful week-long celebration at CCBC. They can join in Bible study, games, crafts, prizes, and hear exciting stories from missionaries. They will discover not only the principles by which God wants us to live, but also the Savior who gives us the power to live out those principles.
Fall Festival
Our children enjoy activities year round (almost every month), but the fall is an especially exciting time. Our Fall Festival gives children an alternative to trick-or-treating. On Halloween Night, we open our church to the community, to share God's love with lots of food, fun and fellowship.
AWANA - Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
Under the direction of Mike Hogue, AWANA is a very exciting seasonal program. AWANA typically meets on Sunday nights from 5:30 - 7:30. To learn about the AWANA organization, please visit awana.org. For registered parents, visit our local site at CCBCawana.org (password is required).
Children in Action (CiA)
Children in Action is a comprehensive missions education organization, for boys and girls in grades 1–5, which includes praying for missions, engaging in missions action and witness, learning about missions, developing spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, participating in the work of the church and denomination, and supporting missions.
Through participation in Children in Action, children grow in their knowledge, understanding, and application of the Bible. They also learn from the example of missionaries, believers, and hands-on mission action what it means to actively engage in ministering to others with the compassion of Christ.
CiA is a year round program that meets each Wednesday night in the Children's Church room. For more information about Children in Action (CiA), please visit www.childrensmissions.com
Children in Action Pledge:
As a member of Children in Action, I will pray for missions, give to missions, learn about missions, and do missions through the power of Christ.
Children in Action Motto:
